Following the centenary of the United States in 1876, many extraordinary lineage societies were founded. None of these is more distinct or exclusive than the Order of the Founders and Patriots of America. What sets the Order apart is that a gentleman must prove his descent in the same male line as a founder and patriot. Our Associates trace their ancestry back to the first colonists and, in the same male line, an ancestor who served the cause of independence in the American Revolution. Associates have been presidents of the United States, generals, admirals, business leaders, and ordinary citizens – all united by a common heritage and love of country.

The Order of the Founders and Patriots of America is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations to the Order are fully deductible to the extent of the law.
The Order is made of several state societies and at-large members who do not live in a state with an established society and do not choose to affiliate with a state society. Anyone residing in a state with a society must join that state’s society.
